Soul Rush

An excellent, joyful record with strong echoes of Van Morrison and 60’s Dylan. Sonically rich, with slow, jazzy horns punctuating country-style guitars. Nice touches of harmonica on “All the Love, Days and Tears”; glockenspiel, banjo, harmonica, Hammond organ, and violin throughout, especially on the title track. All tracks here are worth playing, but “I’d Rather Die” is outstanding.  Dunger’s from Sweden, but sounds like he fell off Morrison’s tour bus.  Songs build slowly, but erupt in passion. An excellent record.
