I have seen a lot of people talking about jobs, corporate greed, and sharing the wealth, but I haven’t seen a lot of people talking about the fact that the entire system is based on land theft and on destroying the natural world. I think that needs to be the start of our conversations, because it should be painfully clear that the health of the planet is primary - far more important than any economic system, in part because without our living planet, you have no economic system whatsoever. You can’t consume a planet and live on it. Only someone deeply [detached from reality]… would think so. Asking for a bigger piece of pie on a planet that’s being murdered is a wee bit insufficient… Unless we wrest power away from corporations, unless this culture is stopped, it will, for all practical purposes, end life on Earth.
